Conducting Surveillance

Our firm conducts both fixed and mobile surveillance, typically for cases in active litigation. We employ multiple-investigator teams whenever possible to reduce the chances that we will be detected by the subject.

Case study

We worked in teams to conduct surveillance on several  Washington, DC properties owned by a foreign government. The plaintiff had already won a judgment against this country, and the attorney wanted to know if supposedly diplomatic property in the U.S. was actually being used for non-diplomatic purposes. Our DC private investigators set up fixed positions on the residences, then mobile teams followed the occupants to their jobs—which included restaurants, doctor’s offices and other decidedly non-diplomatic locations. One memorable video captured with a pinhole camera showed a man who resided in a diplomatic property waiting on our investigator’s table at a downtown restaurant.

Generally, we only accept domestic surveillance cases for pre-existing clients when there is a legally sound reason for our involvement, such as a marriage or custody situation.
